- How do we detect "gravitational" forces, except by observing the effect of
- objects being drawn together on the large scale? Can we measure the
- "gravity" of individual particles in an experimental environment?
- If the gravitational force is not measurable in a "small" experiment because
- of other forces being greater, then how can we be sure that another "force"
- is not present, but similarly masked by forces that are stronger at short
- distances?

- Careful! Someone who credits the accuracy of reports of "paranormal"
- phenomena and can discount "normal" explanations can likewise cite the
- "effects" as proof for a force. The only way we measure gravity is by
- quantifying its effects. If "psychic forces" produced more regular effects
- we might be able to quantify them the same way.
-
- As for an alien "threat". Why aren't we more worried about how much we
- threaten each other? We don't need the aliens..... <G>
